Polish economy

Poland, with its 38 million inhabitants, is the 6th largest economy in the European Union. It has been developing dynamically since the transformation of 1989/1990 that followed the collapse of communism.

The GDP of Poland has been growing constantly since 1992 and the country’s economy avoided the decline of the GDP even in the recent years of worldwide recession, in 2009 becoming the only country in the EU to achieve it.

The export rates has been getting stronger especially since Poland became a member state of the European Union in 2004 and cosmetics are 12th most popular products exported from Poland. Export of Polish cosmetics & perfumes has increased by 188% since 2004.
